His voice spreads from village to village, winning over thousands of people and emptying the churches. The echo of his message reaches as far as Rome, where the Pope entrusts the case to Cardinal Maculani, the most influential inquisitor of the time. What begins as a trial turns into an unexpected confrontation, capable of shaking seemingly unshakable convictions. While Leopoldo’s fate seems sealed, doubt begins to change even those who judge him. Because you can silence a voice, but not what that voice has left behind in others.
