Doctor-X: Surgeon Michiko Daimon

Daimon Michiko is a 37-year-old freelance surgeon who is part of a questionable “doctor placement service” that has her wander from hospital to hospital. The harsh environment at the hospitals led many doctors to retire from their positions, forcing hospitals to make use of said program to fill the empty spots at least temporary. However, Michiko doesn’t look like a doctor at all with her flashy clothes and eccentric attitude. In the first episode she raises objections to a certain operation which is planned to be done by the head of a hospital who hasn’t performed an operation for a very long time. This causes Michiko to incur odium at the hospital, however, everyone becomes frozen when Michiko points out the outdated skills of the director. She also holds a scrupulous compliance when it comes to her working hours, never does any unnecessary chores that don’t require a medical license, and couldn’t care less about the power struggles within the hospitals. Nobody knows how she acquired such a top-level skill that allows her to claim exorbitant sums as reward, but her private life is an even greater mystery to everyone around her. Tanaka plays a rookie surgeon, Uchida an anesthetist, Kishibe the head of the placement service, and Ito the head of the surgical department of this institution.

My Husband is a Cartoonist

The 82nd NHK Asadora is Gegege no Nyobo. The story is based on a 2008 autobiography by Mura Nunoe, the wife of Gegege no Kitaro mangaka Mizuki Shigeru. The story revolves around the life of the married couple, told from the perspective of Mura. --Tokyograph

Strawberry Night Saga

Reiko Himekawa is just 27-years-old, but she has already received a promotion to become an assistant police inspector. She leads the 10th murder investigation team at the First Investigation Division of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. Reiko Himekawa is an excellent detective and deals with many difficult cases. She works with Tamotsu Ishikura, Kohei Yuda and Shinji Otsuka on her team. The team then gets Kazuo Kikuta as a new member. Kazuo Kikuta is a detective who does not talk much, but looks to do the right thing.

Maison Ikkoku

"Maison Ikkoku" is a live-action TV special premiered on TV Asahi on May 12, 2007. It stars Taiki Nakabayashi as Yusaku and Misaki Ito as Kyoko. A finale was aired on July 26, 2008, under the title "Maison Ikkoku Kanketsuhen", featuring Akina Minami as Kozue Nanao, and Ikki Sawamura as Shun Mitaka. ~~ Adapted from the manga "Maison Ikkoku" (めぞん一刻) by Takahashi Rumiko (高橋留美子).

Hakuoki ~Demon of the Fleeting Blossom~

The long-awaited live-action version of the popular series! The turbulent period at the end of the Edo period. Chizuru Yukimura, a girl who visited Kyoto from Edo in search of her missing father. What appeared before Chizuru were Rakshasa, who was engaged in a horrific work that could not be thought of as a human being, and Shinsengumi soldiers led by Toshizo Hijikata. The Shinsengumi slashes Rakshasa in an instant. However, Chizuru's father, Tsunado, had an inseparable connection with both Rakshasa and the Shinsengumi. Eventually, Chizuru puts himself in the Shinsengumi and searches for his father.

Hikinukiya: Headhunter no Ryugi

Kanoko Saho is fired from her father's company, Fawn. She worked hard in the manufracturing world but was fired regardless. In the background is the ploy of person called a "headhunter". Watari Kaori, who calls herself a headhunter, appears in front of Saho. As a result, Saho begins working at the same headhunting company, "Forteflows", as Watari. Saho works confronting clients while a dark cloud begins to drift over Fawn.

Nurse ga Konkatsu

Yokoyama Yoko is the representative of the matchmaking agency specializing in nurses, "Nurse no Tomo." A former nurse herself, Yoko, who has experienced many years of marriage hunting, is known as a charismatic figure who, with her straightforward manner of speaking, guides those lost in the world of marriage hunting to success one after another.

Godhand Teru

The story revolves around a young man named Mahigashi Teru. When he was young, his father, a brilliant surgeon, died in an accident, but not before saving Teru's life. As a result, Teru also aims to become a great surgeon like his father, devoted to never letting a patient die. As a clumsy newcomer at his hospital, he seems to be an unlikely savior. But whenever a patient's life is in danger, his true powers emerge in the form of his "god hands," allowing him to successfully perform even the most difficult operations.

Marumaru Tsuma

Hikari will perform household chores to perfection for the sake of her husband, Kubota Masazumi. Her own life is only to support him. Kubota, a newscaster, takes pride in his popularity because of his outspoken remarks despite the conventions of sponsors and the television network. His behaviour mobilises public opinion and he wishes that he can change society with his words. Kubota owes his position as main newscaster on the news programme to the support of his wife of six years too. But why does Hikari devote herself completely to him? The certain characteristic that Kubota’s wife possesses is an enigma, and a shocking development awaits him.

Love Call Center

Tokura Wataru works in Tokyo for a TV shopping program. After getting on the bad side of the show's charismatic presenter, "Antarctic Ice", he gets transferred to a rural call center.
