At the same time, several criminal events unfold in Zarechye: illegal immigrants, the murder of a shop owner, and the arson of the house of the widow of an influential businessman. During the investigation of the crimes that have shaken Zarechye, Kachura’s work and personal experiences turn out to be intertwined: Nastya Beletskaya becomes one of the suspects in the criminal case, and her criminal past is also revealed. Nastya does not admit her guilt and conducts her own investigation, just like Lieutenant Kachura, who himself turns out to be a suspect. Meanwhile, the investigation brings all the initiated criminal cases together…
