The summer of 1994 is forever marked by the Soccer World Cup in the USA. Sweden took bronze and in squares and streets at home it was celebrated like never before. In this documentary series in four parts, we get to see how Swedish society was marked by this summer. We also meet players who set the tone in the Swedish squad who tell their story about the championship but also their lives.

The best from the 1992 European Football Championship, which was played in Sweden. The Swedish national team was successful on home soil and reached the semi-finals. Denmark, who entered the tournament late at the expense of the then Yugoslavia, became sensational European champions.

VM-krönika 2002

The 2002 FIFA World Cup in South Korea and Japan was the first World Cup to be played in Asia. Sweden was drawn into what was known as the "Group of Death" along with Argentina, England and Nigeria. Sweden sensationally won the group after, among other things, Anders Svensson's classic free kick goal against Argentina. Brazil eventually won the World Cup gold medal and Ronaldo became the tournament's top scorer.

The summer of 1994, with the World Cup in the USA, became an enchanted Swedish football summer. Brolin, Dahlin, Ravelli and all the other bronze heroes created football fever throughout the country, and were celebrated at their homecoming by 50,000 people in Rålambshovsparken.

Divided into two teams, celebrities are blindfolded, and dropped into some of the most remote locations on earth. With no food, no map, and no help, they must make their way through unforgiving landscapes in a race to find civilization. A daily radio message from the show's host is their only indication as to how far they've gone. Each week, the losing team faces an elimination challenge, until only four contestants remain. In the final it's every man for himself: there can be only one winner. Dropped into desert, jungle, mountains and snow. Stunning landscapes; brutal environments. The best from the 2000 European Football Championship, which was played in Belgium and Holland. Sweden had an unsuccessful tournament and did not advance from the group stage. France eventually emerged as European champions after a dramatic final against Italy.
